Master's Thesis

The purpose of the master’s thesis is to support you in summarizing, reflecting on, and extending the insights and experiences gained from your innovation and business creation projects.

A good opportunity to take the most out of your thesis is to choose a topic related to a specific business challenge of yours. This allows you to strategically address issues from the real world and to deepen your insights and know-how on this particular topic.

In the Master’s Thesis, you will analyze or solve a practical question (problem) by applying academic methods and rigor to the investigation process – in that sense, a business plan cannot comprise a Master’s Thesis, though a Master’s Thesis can elaborate on a relevant research question complementing your business plan. The document should comprise 60-80 pages. The Master’s Thesis must be written in English. There is no oral exam.

The final thesis may be assigned and supervised by any professor of the TUM School of Management.
