Great news: TUM School of Management receives EQUIS accreditation
The EQUIS label is being granted by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), which is – like AMBA – one of the three world’s leading accreditation organizations for business education.
The EQUIS accreditation is only reserved for one percent of business schools worldwide. Expressed in concrete numbers, this means that TUM School of Management is now one of only 167 institutions around the world – and one of only six institutions in Germany holding the EQUIS quality label.
We are very proud that the continuous success of TUM's executive education and the role of the Executive MBA in Innovation & Business Creation has played in the accreditation committee’s decision. EFMD highlighted the importance TUM School of Management places on working at the the interface between management and technology as well as the global perspective and the strong network that TUM School of Management stand for – in view of this very positive feedback, our students can be confident to receive an excellent educational experience.
Furthermore, the international accreditation through EQUIS (and AMBA in 2015) increases the attractiveness of TUM School of Management and its educational programs (which include three Executive MBA programs) for all its stakeholders – students, alumni, lecturers, the program management, partners and many more.
And lastly, the international recognition of the quality of our program serves as motivation. We and our colleagues from TUM continue to be committed to increasing the quality and extending the international recognition of our programs. In this spirit, TUM School of Management aims to receive the AACSB accreditation – and, thereby, the so-called ‘triple crown’ – soon.
